About Us
Foster Insights is a not-for-profit initiative at the University of Chicago. Incubated at the Center for Radical Innovation for Social Change (RISC), a social innovation lab founded by Freakonomics’ Steve Levitt, our mission is to improve the wellbeing of children and families impacted by the U.S. foster care system. We believe that simple insights from data can have enormous impact when made actionable and responsive to the needs of change-makers.
